What Alexander discovered
Frederick Matthias Alexander recognised that we can bring about change in our bodies – in the ways in which we sit, stand and move – and gain great benefit from doing so.
Who I see and why
People of all ages come to me for a variety of reasons including back pain, arthritis, sciatica, migraine, stiff neck and shoulders, RSI (repetitive strain injury), slipped disc, painful joints, work stress, decreased mobility, poor posture and general stress and tension.
Fully qualified member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT)
I finished three years’ training in 2000 and have been teaching ever since.
The Alexander Technique
The Technique releases the tension built up in muscles, ligaments and tendons as we respond to the demands of daily life. It works with unlocking patterns which have formed deep in our bodies, allowing flexibility and ease of movement to follow.
